What are the easiest edible mushrooms to identify

I chose these eight because they have great taste, are pretty common, and are some of the easiest to spot once you know what to look for!
1. It’s hard to use gill-shaped mushrooms.
Seven of these eight mushrooms don’t have gills like most mushrooms do. One of them has normal lungs.
With gills, it can be hard to tell one mushroom from another, and some of them are poisonous.
After a few bites, the killing angel and death cap will kill you.
Being safe is much better than feeling bad about something.
The only other species in this group that has normal gills is oyster mushrooms, which I will talk about below.
Those are portobello mushrooms.
As I already said, unless you are a mushroom expert, the only gill-producing mushrooms I think you should look for are oyster mushrooms.
This is because oyster mushrooms generally grow best in dead wood like tree stumps, fallen logs, and trees.
Even though they sometimes look like they’re coming up from wood chips or something else, I wouldn’t trust them to be oysters unless you found them on wood.
Oyster mushrooms grow in groups that look like shelves. They are most often found on hardwood trees but can also be found on conifers.
They tend to like warmer weather, so spring and fall are the best times to find them. They taste great and happen quite often!
Birds that eat morels
Morel mushrooms are a favorite among mushroom hunters for a good reason! They’re fun to look for, and the joy you feel when you find them is hard to describe!
It could be because by the time wild mushrooms show up in the spring, we all want them. It could also be because they are hard to grow and look hard to find when they are hidden.
You can only find these mushrooms in the great outdoors. Most of the time, morels grow in sunny places and like hills that face south. They also often show up in places where there have been fires recently.
They are one of the easier mushrooms to spot because there is nothing else like them.
When morel mushrooms are cut in half, they show a hollow center inside their highly ridged and pitted crown, which looks like a honeycomb.

Now that we know where to look for wild mushrooms that you can eat, As I already said, dead, tipped-over trees are my go-to mushroom-hunting slump busters. It looks like things generally get back on track after a bad day of hunting when I find a downed tree.
If you move the dirt around, use dead bark as mulch, and put a small amount of shade under the trunk, morels will grow.
The biggest trees are the ones that have died in the last year, but some trees that have been through a few winters and have no bark left might still bear fruit.
